Rhymes with "Mommy Tree"

Wednesday, Oct 26 2011
Save it for the judge. Take that phrase to heart, brothers and sisters, because the judge for tonight’s Trannyshack costume contest is worth saving yourself for. Drag sensations Heklina and Peaches Christ, hosts of Halloween: A Party!, say they’re sworn to secrecy on his identity, but we think we know who it is. They say he’ll “rock your world,” and he’s well qualified to do so because he’s a heavy metal drummer. He was married to a famous faux queen, one known for her front-end customization and excess accessories. Mr. Mystery Guest is also a film legend. He and his ex starred in a … well, let’s call it a “home movie” that made its way to a lot of people outside the family. If you still don’t know who we’re talking about, you must not be thinking clearly. Maybe you’re lightheaded at the very idea of being judged by this brutal, beautiful work of art. Before you fall over, though, let us drop some names that aren’t secret. Drag racers include the fabulous Fauxnique, Raya Light, Exhibit Q, Toxic Waist, Pollo Del Mar, and the Rice Rockettes. Vis-a-Vis provides terrifying décor and visual effects. DJ Omar spins you into ghastly madness. And at the center of it all is that drummer, the one with the great big, uh, hi-hat.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
