It's a surrealist art statement, a runway fashion show, a damn good cause, and a bucket of laughs all rolled into one at the Behind Closed Doors Fashionably Corpse Runway Show. The show is produced as a benefit for the YES Foundation, a nonprofit that advocates for education and services for homeless at-risk teenage girls. It's hosted by stand-up comic and San Francisco native Justin Lucas, who has performed at the Punchline and Cobbs Comedy Club, and was a finalist in the Battle of the Bay Comedy Competition. As for the surrealist art, that comes during the runway show. The models adopt an alter ego that represents the hurt and pain of life – and the struggle for happiness – then flaunt the show's alternative fashion designs in character. Participating designers include Elle Hair Studio, Layla Crain, and Denita Foster, with additional production help from Christal Saul of Reflections Fashion magazine and photographer Waitman Gobble.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
