Peaches: Show Preview

As the Queen of Kink and figurehead for fatherfuckers everywhere, Peaches still inspires jaws to drop wherever she goes, whatever she does, including in her recent one-woman rock opera, Peaches Christ Superstar, and her starring role in the independent Canadian movie Ivory Tower. She may not be singing during her current eight-date DJ run, and we doubt she'll be bringing any of the sexually charged stage props we've seen at her live shows, but this lady knows how to get a room movin', shakin', and sweatin', regardless of the medium she's working with. Expect heavy beats, tight tunes, nonstop dance fuel, and — we hope — a smattering of her trademark saucy sexuality.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
