On Leave from Scranton

As laid-back warehouse guy Darryl, Craig Robinson is used sparingly on The Office. It’s not that he isn’t a major talent — he keeps appearing in Seth Rogan films, most recently Zack and Miri Make a Porno. Perhaps it’s because he plays one of the few normal people, like Pam and Jim, who are on the side of the audience. But he could turn into a stereotype, like Ryan the temp did when he became a coked-out executive and consequently got more screen time. Then again, the actor who plays Ryan is also a key writer for the show, and besides, Darryl is good at undermining Michael Scott. Moving on! However they write him, expect to keep seeing Robinson in films — this year he shows up as a Tuskegee Airman in Night at the Museum 2: Battle of the Smithsonian and a funeral director in The Post Grad Survival Guide by Shrek co-director Vicky Jenson. And you’ll always see him on the stand-up stage, where he’s been since the beginning.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
