Oh God, If There Is A God, Save My Soul If I Have One

In the local house of photography worship, we regulary genuflect before Arbus, Sugimoto (still meditating on 2007's "Colors of Shadow"), Meatyard, Avedon. Often, the curators turn out shows including work by unknown artists, "outsiders," or ancient Dadaists. At "Furthermore," the gallery celebrates thirty years -- thirty -- with a sort of collection of tiny collections, each a wall's worth and each thematic. The ultra-rare (maybe the only) print of Morton Schamberg's 1918 lead-pipe readymade called "God" is the altarpiece of the exhibition, but arrive prepared to pray.

    Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday.
