Oakland Interfaith Gospel Choir: Show Preview

Wednesday, Dec 21 2011

One of the most enduring local holiday traditions is the annual show presented by Oakland Interfaith Gospel Choir at Slim's, a San Francisco club that has seen its fair share of the blasphemous and irreverent. Under the artistic direction of Terrance Kelly, the multiracial and multifaith assembly possesses a very versatile style — the choir has contributed to albums from artists as diverse as Linda Ronstadt and MC Hammer. The choir is formal enough to perform for charitable and community functions, yet loose and casual enough to appear on national daytime chat program The Wendy Williams Show.
