Nu Sensae: Show Preview

Wednesday, Feb 29 2012

Vancouver outfit Nü Sensae's headlining show this week is as significant for the band's sure-to-be incendiary performance as for the impeccably selected array of local openers. This will be the first tour date in support of Nü Sensae's latest EP, Tea Swamp Park, which finds the noise-punk trio glazing ugly subject matter with grotesque sonic treatment. But having to follow sets from the Bay Area's own Wax Idols, High Castle, and Deep Teens — all of which have been invigorated by recent activity — will certainly challenge Nü Sensae to prove that it's of headlining caliber.

Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
