Must-See Before TV

One thing you should probably have on your bucket list is seeing comedian John Mulaney perform. The former Saturday Night Live writer, who’s semi-famous for writing all of Weekend Update’s ‘Stefon’ sketches with Bill Hader, is ridiculously funny, and he’s working on a sitcom pilot for NBC. If it gets picked up, he’ll probably be as big as Seinfeld soon and then we’ll all be like, “Did you hear how many cars John Mulaney has? I heard he has a building full of ’em!” And then you’ll probably want to be able to talk about the time you saw him at a comedy club in San Francisco before he was a household name. If you’re not familiar with his work, you can check out his 2012 album New in Town. Whatever you do, don’t sleep on this guy, though — Entertainment Weekly hailed Mulaney as “one of the best stand-up comics alive.”

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
