Idle Warship: Show Preview

Comments

Developed outside of the auspices of a market-driven major record label, the duo known as Idle Warship — consisting of Brooklyn rapper Talib Kweli and Philadelphia singer Res — sounds like two open-minded friends having a lot of fun making music together. The recently released debut Habits of the Heart finds Kweli and Res smashing together hip-hop, soul, dance, and alternative rock on standout cuts like the electro-tinged "System Addict" and clap-happy "Laser Beams."
