How Much for That Kitty in the Window?

Maybe you can remember the first time you fell for a furry friend. Maybe not. Maybe it was years ago, at Macy's. The department store has hosted homeless kittens, cats, puppies and dogs in its windows for over 20 years, and it's quite a sight to see. Each year, window-dressing professionals see to it that the streetside display areas are done up in the manner of miniature ski lodges and other such cute scenarios. The SPCA then provides adoption-ready animals, who lounge around adorably. Sometimes they make eye contact: watch out. You could easily be a goner. Adopters have to shell out the same as at the SPCA, but they get goodie bags, temporary pet health insurance, and dogs get leashes and collars.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
