Geezus Loves You

Wednesday, Jan 14 2009
Geoff Hoyle is a clown. No, really! He's actually one of the country's best clowns, having studied his art with Bill Irwin, created a role in The Lion King on Broadway, and performed with Cirque du Soleil. Now he's getting old, or at least that's what he says, in a one-night-stand of his new play, Geezer. He's well-known for his three-legged dance, which isn't at all dirty, you scuz, so maybe the inherent tension between dancing and aging gets the old-clown treatment tonight.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
