Errors: Show Preview

Wednesday, May 4 2011

Since you should already be planning to see postrock titans Mogwai, consider this a plea to get there early enough to catch their protégés and fellow Scots, Errors, whose members are hitting the States for the first time in support of their most recent album, Come Down with Me, which has already received plaudits aplenty from the European press. Errors' present incarnation finds what used to be an impeccable but sterile take on electronic dance music feeling increasingly intimate and organic, thanks in large part to the personable precision of drummer James Hamilton — who is also playing with Mogwai on this tour — and an irrepressible funkiness under their churning backdrops and glitchy moves. (They also have a knack for spellbindingly strange music videos.)
