Dillinger Escape Plan: Show Preview

If you haven't seen Dillinger Escape Plan live, you remain unaware of the true technical heaviness of which human musicians are capable. When we say this New Jersey mathcore quintet is powerful live, we mean that you will probably spend half the set wanting to physically assault yourself, and the other half wondering, "How the hell are they doing that?" This tour is special because its opening act is Sacramento's own Trash Talk: a band that consistently combines lead-weight riffs with an unhinged attitude. Expect a set that delivers short, sharp, sometimes disorienting jolts. And unless you want to do permanent damage, don't forget your earplugs.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
