Business in Front

Last year, Sammy Kitwara crushed the 12K world record in Bay to Breakers, beating it by 11 seconds and setting a new course record. To repeat: The fastest 12K ever happened at last year’s Bay to Breakers. Kitwara, formerly a police officer in Kenya, started running just three years ago, but has picked up first places and course records in half-marathons and 10Ks around the world. This year, he finished second in both the Abu Dhabi Half Marathon and the Lisbon Half Marathon. He’ll be at Bay to Breakers today, but nobody will pay much attention to him, and to the rest of the leaders, because it’s Bay to Breakers. We thought we would.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
