One of the best places to see San Francisco's skyline at sunset is from the Bay Bridge. Then again, it's also one of the worst places because it's not like you can get out of your car to snap the photo. For an equally, if not more impressive sunset photo, you can take one from the deck of a catamaran as it cruises languidly around the Bay. On the 90-minute ride — which you can also take in the afternoon — you'll circle around Alcatraz Island, sail underneath the Golden Gate Bridge, and get prime views of San Francisco's skyline. Snacks and libations (including the alcoholic kind) are on deck, as well as a trampoline that is — worry not — surrounded by a net, though not immune to ocean spray. If you're lucky, you'll catch a glimpse of some of the Bay Area's marine wildlife, including pelicans, sea lions, dolphins, and even the occasional whale. Wear the right clothing and you might even get a tan (or sunburn), but one thing's for sure: You'll get great pictures.
