Best New Dim Sum

Dragon Beaux

Instant lines greeted the March opening of this new Richmond restaurant from the owners of Koi Palace, Daly City’s perpetually packed dim sum banquet hall. Dragon Beaux may be missing the live seafood tanks that dot Koi Palace’s entryway, but the juicy soup dumplings and fluffy bao buns are much the same. So is Koi’s famed roasted duck burrito, a Chinese pancake-wrapped beauty that would be a runaway hit were it to be foil-wrapped and served in the heart of the Mission. Be forewarned that dim sum service ends in the afternoon as Dragon Beaux morphs into a luxe hot pot establishment. But don’t worry, dim sum fiends; you can still get those juicy potstickers at night.
