Mission cocktail bar Trick Dog has announced a new executive chef, Michael Logan (formerly of the Battery, Delfina Restaurant Group, and Slanted Door Group). As Logan gets up to speed, the bar has announced it will host a series of pop-ups. The first will feature Chris Kronner, last seen in San Francisco at the short-lived but wonderful Kronnerburger -- and though he has been a BART ride away in Oakland since Kronnerburger closed last November, now you can find him back in the Mission for a few days.

Kronner won't be serving his famous burger, but will be focusing on an a la carte menu called Ordinary Trick, a so-called "bistronomic odyssey" inspired by classic French bistro fare (items $10-$20). The food will be paired with Trick Dog cocktails and wines chosen by Bradford Taylor (of Oakland's Ordinaire). Find Kronner's menu this Sun-Tue (June 29-July 1) from 6 p.m.-1 a.m., and no reservations will be taken.

As for the Trick Dog menu, we do have word that menu mainstays like the excellent kale salad, Trick Dog burger, and thrice-cooked fries will remain.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
