New York-based Food Network Star [Iron] Chef Amanda Freitag will be in town this weekend for Cultivate -- Chipotle's free festival in Golden Gate Park. On Sunday night, she'll be cooking at a pop-up dinner with the Wise Sons at their 24th Street location.

Earlier this year, Freitag relaunched the iconic Empire Diner. The theme for the pop-up dinner will thus be "Diner Meets Deli," where Freitag and the Wise Sons will be serving some scrumptious-sounding dishes like matzo ball soup with bone marrow, corned beef chili cheese fries, and burrata and smoked salmon on toasted rye. Wise Sons' Evan Bloom has posted the full menu here.

The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
