'Tis the season to be jolly, in more ways than one. Winter is in full swing and the holiday season upon us. Take a break from gift shopping and stocking stuffing and instead, find some shelter from the cold to nurse a holiday libation. We've rounded up the city's five best holiday drinks.

Gingerbread Flip, Burritt Room + Tavern

After a long afternoon of shopping in Union Square, kick up your feet at Burritt Room + Tavern in the Mystic Hotel and treat yourself to the Gingerbread Flip. Head bartender Josh Trabulsi has concocted a toasty, winter mix of Laird's Applejack, Germain-Robin Craft Method Brandy, brown sugar syrup and St. Elizabeth Allspice Dram, with egg, muddled ginger root, nutmeg, cinnamon, and an octagonal ginger snap cookie for garnish. Why settle for gingerbread men when you can have gingerbread booze?

Mrs. Claus-tini, Eclipse Lounge

This winter, after a few hours ice-skating at the Embarcadero Center holiday rink, stop at the Hyatt Regency for happy hour between 4:30 and 6:30 p.m. for a seasonal cocktail. Eclipse Lounge offers a variety of fun, festive cocktails like the Naughty Elf, Blitzen Cider, and Peppermint Hot Chocolate. We recommend Mrs. Claus-tini, an indulgent blend of Absolut Vanilla, Godiva chocolate liqueur, and crème de cacao on ice, with a lime wedge garnish. Why should Santa have all the fun?

Hot Chocolate No. 5, Jardiniere

If your mom has her sights set on Chanel's fragrance this holiday season, treat her to Jardiniere's warm drink with the same name -- it smells just as good and is a lot more affordable. The Hot Chocolate No. 5 at Hayes Valley's French restaurant is a cozy mug of melted Michel Cluizel chocolate, cream and a hint of cayenne pepper for an extra punch. Enjoy the rich hot chocolate with churros and dulce de leche, and whether you've been naughty or nice this year, we recommend mixing in a touch of Clase Azul Reposado Tequila.

Santa's Suckerpunch, 15 Romolo

We expect no less from North Beach's 15 Romolo than cocktail with a name as cheeky as the drink is bold. Santa's Suckerpunch blends Old Grand-Dad bourbon with Aperol aperitif, Pedro Ximenez Sherry, lemon, and bitters. After downing just a couple of these Suckerpunches, old St. Nick would be red in the face -- and so will you.

Tugboat Eggnog, Southpaw BBQ & Southern Cooking

Enjoy a meal of southern barbeque with a side of cheer at Southpaw in the Mission. The off-menu Tugboat Eggnog is a house-made blend of spiced milk, egg and syrup, spiked with George Dickle whiskey, Luxardo Amaretto di Saschira almond liqueur and Sailor Jerry rum, garnished with a sprinkle of freshly ground nutmeg. This seasonal cocktail is pretty much a miracle on Mission Street.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
