The popular North Beach brunch spot that's always got a line stretching down the block for a chance at their famous Monte Cristo is set to open up a second location in the former Piazza Market on Columbus and Vallejo.

Eater SF reported that the space would be divided into a 2,720 sq. ft. Mama's cafe and 1,450 sq. ft. "Lil Mama's" which is set to be a grab-and-go bakery counter.

Employees didn't discuss a potential opening date. The gentleman we spoke with on the phone said "we haven't even touched the space yet."

Mama's has been operating under the Sanchez family at the corner of Washington Square Park for more than 50 years.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
