Win-win-win. - YELP/ANN L.

Along with parties and presents, a big part of the holiday season is helping out those less fortunate. And thanks to Anthony Myint of Mission Chinese, sharetable.org, Michelle Polzine of 20th Century Cafe, and the good folks at the SF Food Bank, now you can help those in need while stocking up on presents for your friends and family.

Even better, if you stop by on Thursday to buy a gift certificate, you get a slice of Michelle Polzine's sweet, layered, magical Russian Honey Cake.

Where: 20th Century Cafe, at Gough and Oak

When: Thursday, Dec. 5, 5-7:30 p.m.

You can also purchase gift certificates on the SF Food Bank and ShareTable websites.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
