Here's some news that's soooo S.F.: AT&T Park is building an edible garden hopefully set to open in advance of the 2014 season, the Chronicle is reporting. The so-called Giants Garden will be a 3,000 square foot organic garden behind the center field bleachers that will grow produce for some of the park's concessions, as well as act as an open-air classroom for the community. The garden is a collaboration between the Giants and Bon Appetit Management Co., which runs some of the concessions in the park, and is the first of its kind in the country.

Inside Scoop has all the renderings for a garden that will apparently include strawberries, avocados, herbs, edible flowers, and a bunch of fruits and vegetables. In the off-season, the park hopes to hold community tours and education sessions.

The garden was announced by President Obama yesterday during the Giants' visit to the White House, and we're sure the initiative has a thumbs up from Michelle Obama, who famously has her own edible garden on the White House lawn. However, President Obama made it clear that the time-honored culinary traditions at the ballpark will continue. "Even Michelle would say it's okay to have a hot dog once in a while, though," he said. "I don't want everybody to get carried away and think they have to have kale every time they go to the ballpark."

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
