If you head to a pizza parlor and you are not in the mood for pizza, you're usually pretty screwed. Limp salads, greasy fried mozzarella sticks, and chocolate cake are often the only items you might be able to order outside of a pie. We recently discovered an exception with the artichoke dip at Patxi's Pizza, the Chicago-style joint with four San Francisco locations.

Artichokes are vegetables, but this dip is not akin to a salad because it's loaded with cream cheese and topped with parmesan. Kicky bits of jalapeño and roasted red pepper are mixed inside and it's all served with crisp, buttery toasts. Eat this wonderfully indulgent dish too fast and you may find yourself in the midst of a preemptive strike against ordering pizza at all.

The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
