Need a Thanksgiving Pie? 3 Places to Put in Your Order

Sure, it may seem as if the Halloween decorations are just now coming down, but Thanksgiving is right around the corner. And if you're looking to place a pie order instead of making your own, it's time to get a move on. Here are three places in the city that can help to ensure a stress-free, pie-filled holiday.

1. Three Babes Bakeshop

You may have seen them at Noe Valley's Saturday farmers' market or Off the Grid's picnic in the Presidio, but now San Francisco's pop-up pie shop is bringing organic and sustainably-raised ingredients to you via Thanksgiving pies.

Menu & Pricing:

Classic Apple: $35

Brown Butter Pecan: $35

Salty Honey Walnut: $35

Bittersweet Chocolate Pecan: $35

Sugar Pie Pumpkin: $32

Lemon Chess: $32

Pre-order for pickup or delivery by November 16; shipping orders need to be in by the 13th. After November 16, it's first come first serve.

Pies can be picked up on Wednesday, November 21 at Wise Sons (10 a.m.-7 p.m.), the Ferry Plaza Farmers' Market (10 a.m.-2 p.m.), and a pie truck in Pacific Heights (3:30-7 p.m.). And finally, for the last-minute laggers (or for those of you who simply want the freshest pie possible) Three Babes will be setting up at 18 Reasons on Thanksgiving Day from 9 a.m.-1 p.m.


2. Mission Pie

Whether your preference is sweet or savory, this corner cafe, bakery, and neighborhood gathering place is here to help your possible pie dilemma this holiday season.

Apple Pie

Pear Raspberry Pie

Apple Cranberry Pie

Walnut Pie

Pumpkin Pie

Vegan Apple Cranberry Pie

Savory Galette (wild and cultivated mushrooms and sweet Jimmy Nardello Peppers wrapped in a butter crust)

Mission Pie will also be selling its pie dough: $3 each for the butter crust, $4 for the vegan. Purchase one for an open-faced pie and two for a double crust. For $1 more your pie will come rolled and in the tin.

The deadline for Mission Pie Thanksgiving orders is Sunday, November 18 at 10 p.m. Pickup will be Monday the 19th, Tuesday the 20th and Wednesday the 21st, and the shop will be closed on Thanksgiving Day.


3. Peasant Pies

Affordable and creative, Peasant Pies locations are in the Inner Sunset, Noe Valley and UCSF Mission Bay campus. Pies can also be found at high-quality supermarkets throughout the city like Real Foods Co., Mollie Stones, and Whole Foods.

Menu & Pricing:All pies are $18.95

Apple Crumble

Southern Sweet Potato

Pumpkin Pecan

Savory Thanksgiving Pie (ground turkey, potatoes, cranberries, carrots, corn, peas, onions and sweet potatoes)

All orders must be pre-paid with cash or credit card. The order deadline is Tuesday, November 20 at 2:00 p.m. Last pickup is Wednesday, November 21 at 5:30 p.m.
