INFORUM Election Party

Where: Rye, 688 Geary (at Leavenworth), 474-4448

When: Tues., Nov. 6, 5:30 p.m.

Cost: Food and drinks $8 and under

The rundown: There are a lot of places around San Francisco where it would be fun (or, um, heartbreaking) to watch the election results come in tonight. But this is the only one we know of that is going to celebrate with Negroni-marinated pork butt tacos.

The Commonwealth Club's youthful division INFORUM hosts this event. Watch the election projected on the back wall, take in those tacos (by Tango & Stache), and choose among themed cocktails such as Pollster (Skyy Vodka Dragonfruit, lime, mint, Jerry Thomas bitters) and the President (Appleton Reserve Rum, Orange Curaçao, dry vermouth, grenadine).

The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
