It's an especially busy week of drinking, so we're brining you the first of two guides for where to go for your cocktail needs, from drinking like it's the 1980's to an evening filled with more spirits than you would dare to try.

Management Requests: Your Presence

Where: Acme Bar, 2115 San Pablo (at Addison), Berkeley, (510) 644-2226

When: Mon., Nov. 14th, 8 p.m.-2 a.m.

Cost: $10 per cocktail

The rundown: A pop-up themed as a 1980's business retreat by bartenders Allison Webber (Jasper's) and Keli Rivers (Hotsy Totsy) is taking over Acme for one night to bring you management training in cocktail form. Broken up in to "seminars," the evening's menu will progressively change from drinks like the Pierce & Pierce (ORO pisco, pür Pear Williams, dry vermouth, membrillo gastric) to a play on rum and coke with house made crystal Pepsi, ending with Fernet shots with ginger pâtes de fruits. Your retro business best is encouraged.

Kopstootje--Dutch Headbutts at Jaspers

Where: Jasper's Corner Tap & Kitchen, 401 Taylor (at O'Farrell)

When: Mon., Nov. 14th, 9 p.m.-12 a.m.

Cost: $2 per Kopstootje

The rundown: The tradition of the Kopstootje or Dutch headbutt may not be mainstream yet, but it's a tradition that we like, especially at $2. Ordering one will get you a glass of Trumer Pilsner and a tulip shaped shot glass filled so full of Bols Genever Gin, it beads on top. To drink simply move your head forward, slurp, then take a sip of the accompanied pilsner.

Stolichnaya Shake Down

Where: Chambers Eat + Drink, 601 Eddy (at Larkin)

When: Tues., Nov. 15th, 5 p.m.-9 p.m.

The rundown: Stolichnaya vodka is hosting a cocktail competition featuring some of the Bay Area's best, drink specials, bites from Chambers, and DJ Ean Golden. Competing bartenders include Kristin Almy, Summer Jane Bell, Zachary Taylor, Patrick Johnson, Allie Persons, and Christopher Scott Weber.

San Francisco Indy Spirits Expo

Where: Mighty, 119 Utah (at 15th St.)

When: Weds., Nov. 16th, 5 p.m.-9:30 p.m.

Cost: $75 for VIP Tickets, $55 General; 21 and over

The rundown: The yearly intimate gathering of spirit fans and distillers returns to Mighty for the annual Indy Spirits Expo. Keep an eye out for local favorites like Anchor, No. 209, Old World Spirits, Square One, and St. George Spirits, along with noteworthy selections from Death's Door, North Shore, and Pür Spirits. VIP tickets get you in a full two hours early and tickets include light apps.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
