Where: S.S. Jeremiah O'Brien, Pier 45, Embarcadero (at Taylor)

When: Thurs., Oct. 6th, 5 p.m. - 10 p.m.

Cost: $30 online; 21 and over. Food and drink not included in entry price.

The rundown: Fleet Week docks in San Francisco and kicking the party off like a bottle of champagne on a new ship is Mission: Battleship, a concert-dining-drinking event on the WWII Liberty Ship SS Jeremiah O'Brien by the pirate crew of Stag Dining Group. Although the ship won't leave the dock at Pier 45 at Fisherman's Wharf, the buzz cuts and tattoos provided on deck, Tom Cruise look-a-like in full Top Gun Maverick mode, and a concert to entertain you like a homesick sailor at a USO show with Reggie Watts and Bayonics might make you wonder if you enlisted.

The true force of the Stag Dining armada will be displayed at the food and drink battle stations, where the gang has recruited the help of Danny Bowien from Mission Chinese, Chad Newton, and Gracie Nguyen of American Box and Asian Box, and 15 Romolo. Take a peek at the food and drink menus for the event below:

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
