The rundown: If you're anything like us, you went green when you heard about Sprouts Cooking Club, the star-studded summer camp for aspiring gastronomes aged 16 and under. Well, this Saturday, the kids are letting us in the clubhouse for a pasta-making tutorial that's geared toward the younger set, but with grownups allowed.
Chef Anthony Strong of Locanda, also one of the Sprouts instructors, is teaming up with Charles Phan of the Slanted Door for an East/West tutorial on Italian and Asian noodle-making. Using farm-fresh eggs and wheat ground on location, these culinary titans will have you cranking out restaurant-quality pasta faster than you can say McNaughton. This one-off event, a preview for SF Chefs 2011, will sell out quickly, so register while you still can.
