Stag Dining Group's Wake Up the World Brunch

The rundown: In celebration of World Fair Trade Day, the altruists at Stag Dining Group are hosting a brunch at design space Hub SoMa. The meal ain't cheap, but proceeds go to support Fair Trade USA, the Oakland-based leading certifier of Fair Trade products in the United States. Plus the custom menu (including coffee, tea, and cocktails), is made entirely from sleep-with-a-clear-conscience, fair trade ingredients. Menu highlights include smoked sturgeon (quinoa blini, asparagus, caviar creme fraiche); slow-cooked egg (braised bacon, lentils, pickled chiles); and coffee pot de creme (spiced chocolate ganache, cocoa nib biscotti).
