Fri., Mar. 25:

Queen of the Sun Filmmaker Screenings

Roxie Theater, 3117 16th St. (at Valencia), 7 and 9 p.m.

Director Taggart Siegel will be on hand for two screenings of his bee documentary, Queen of the Sun: What Are the Bees Telling Us?, before its week-long run at the Roxie. Complete description here.

Citizens of the World Beer Event

Shelton Brothers Imports sponsors a night featuring breweries from over the border and across the pond. Highlights include brews from Montreal's Dieu Du Ciel, Norway's Nogne-O, and rare kegs of sour beer from Belgium's Cantillon Brewery. Complete description here.

Underground Night Market Returns

The first segment is take-home crafties for the early-to-bed crowd, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Then things gradually evolve/devolve into a late-night oom-checka oom-checka scene, with hot food. Complete description here.

The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'.
