New Year's Eve at Jardinière

Where: Jardinière, 300 Grove (at Franklin), 861-5555

Cost: First seating (5:30-7:30 p.m.), $125 for five courses; second seating (8:30-10:30 p.m.), $175 for six courses, party favors, and Champagne toast

Why it's likely to be special: If it just wouldn't feel like New Year's without dropping a bundle, Jardinière might be just the place to do it, while the Terry Disley Experience lays down samba and Latin jazz beats

Menu highlights: bigeye tuna tartare (first seating), roasted Maine lobster tail, loin of wild cervena venison (both second seating), Meyer lemon mousse with chocolate Bavarian (both seatings)

Reserve: Online via OpenTable

The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
