San Francisco gossip was apparently slim yesterday, but there was a host of out-of-town news:
- Per Inside Scoop: Sakoon, the tony Indian restaurant in Mountain View, has a new chef named Alex Xalxo, who was brought west from New York.
- Meanwhile, reports Grub Street, former Sakoon chef Sachin Chopra is just about to open his new San Mateo restaurant, All Spice. The pitch: Indian-European cooking.
- Via Eater SF, we learned that Whole Foods Blossom Hill (San Jose) opened, while the Chron reports that the opening of Whole Foods Castro is looking stalled.
- Another Eater find: L'appart Resto in San Anselmo is on the market. Count your pennies: It's only $250K.
