  • Trevor Easter.

SFoodie's series focusing on San Francisco's up-and-coming stars behind the stick, the Muppet Babies of the shaker.

Who: Trevor Easter

Where to find him: Rickhouse, 246 Kearny (at Bush), 398-2827

Background: Having honed his skills in San Diego, first in the Gaslamp nightclubs, then at Noble Experiment and El Dorado, Easter had the opportunity to train with Sam Ross of New York's famed Milk & Honey.

Why he made the list: He has both speed and technique, but Easter cites giving patrons what they want as the thing he likes most about tending bar. "I love simple, straightforward cocktails that are accessible to the customer," he says. "I'm not into this to make the customer feel dumb, I'm here to give them exactly what they want, whether it's a drink they have had before or something they have never heard of."

Also on our list so far:

-Brandon Josie

-Kyle and Rachel Ford

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
