The past 24 hours in gossip, innuendo, and cold hard facts about the

San Francisco restaurant scene.

If you hadn't heard, the new MICHAEL MINA opened last night.

In more entertaining news, UrbanDaddy finds that Schweet Boks (2142 Irving, 992-2119, Facebook page) is FINALLY about to open on Saturday. It's a CEREAL restaurant. Grub Street learns that the final Pizza & Pipes location in Santa Clara is about to close.

Lastly, Tablehopper, who's been on the breakfast pizza tip for months now, reports that Zero Zero is opening for brunch starting this weekend.

The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
