Disco Volante Spins into Oakland, Meadowood Calendars 12 Days of Eating

San Francisco restaurant scene.

Courtesy of Inside Scoop's Paolo L., we learn of Disco Volante (347 14th St., Oakland), from Kevin Cook, Damon Gallagher, and Tim Tolle. The pitch: California local-seasonal food from former Bacar chef Douglas Bernstein, plus live music.

On Grub Street, Jay B. releases the names of the guest chefs and vintners participating in Meadowood's innovative 12 Days of Christmas, almost two weeks of special dinners. The chefs include L.A.'s Ludo Lefebvre and Nancy Silverton, Seattle's Mark Fuller, and Atlanta's Linton Hopkins. Do some googling and make your reservations now.
