Cocktail Week festivities continued full force over the weekend, made better only by the perfect weather. Friday night's Epic Happy Hour provided an ideal venue for enjoying the sun, bay view, bite-sized burgers, oysters, and, of course, cocktails. One of our favorites: Epic's own bar manager Camber Lay, mixing up Flower and Pepper with Flor de Caña rum, house-made lime-pepper syrup, and vanilla cream.

Saturday night was all about the Bon Vivants' Grand Gala with plenty of punch, including Martin Cate's custom flaming volcano bowl. There were old-time costumes, performers, and a roving brass band. Sunday's Cocktail Cookout at St. George Spirits in Alameda pulled out the Fatted Calf pulled pork sandwiches, kiddie pools to cool off in, and cocktails from some of the East Bay's best (Hotsy Totsy, Radio Bar, Adesso). The ferry ride in, with a landing amid the old battleships, was great, though the sunset over the fog-free city on the trip home was a beautiful end to the weekend.

The drink-a-thon known as SF Cocktail Week wraps up tonight with the unlikely pairing that has fast become the preferred pastime of San Francisco bartenders: Chartreuse cocktails and karaoke (yes, at the same time). What might be more surprising than that combination is the amount of untapped vocal talent lurking behind the city's bars.

Mon., Sept. 27:

Chartreuse Karaoke Gong Show

When: 9 p.m.-2 a.m..

Where: The Ambassador, 673 Geary (at Leavenworth)

How much: $10; no-host bar

The skinny: All Chartreuse cocktails are $6 for the night, to go along with the karaoke contest. Pick your song and battle it out against your favorite bartenders.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
