Jonathan Kauffman Speaks! (on KQED's Forum)

Posted By on Fri, Aug 27, 2010 at 5:45 PM

Our favorite morsel from the Web.

If you missed it yesterday ― SF Weekly food critic Jonathan Kauffman's vocal turn on KQED's Forum with Michael Krasny ― we embed for your pleasure:

Kauffman shared air with San Francisco food editor Jan Newberry, Stett Holbrook (ditto for Metro Silicon Valley), and Tablehopper Marcia Gagliardi. It was a general restaurant roundup spanning Bay regions, with caller questions. And, so you have a program to follow along with, a commenter on the Forum site (thanks, "denise") compiled a list of all the restaurants mentioned, either by the critics or callers. Behold the San Francisco ones:

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
