Last time Hapa Ramen popped up, shit went down. Until the day ramen entrepreneur Richie Nakano manages to open his stand at Ferry Plaza (July's a good bet), events like the just-announced June 29 pop-up at Heart are likely to have a glitch or two, but ― as compensation ― amazingly well-wrought bowls of ramen, with seriously deep-tasting broth.

Learning, perhaps, from the overwhelming demand at Coffee Bar last month, Heart plans to offer izakaya dishes from in-house food slinger Kitchenette. If that fails, maybe sake will manage to soothe fried tempers. Heart says it plans to offer lots.

Hapa Ramen Pop-Up at Heart

When: Tues., June 29, 5-11 p.m.

Where: Heart, 1270 Valencia (at 23rd St.), 285-1200

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
