Dinners like the one happening at Andalu on June 7 have a lot to do with why South Park relishes poking fun at our fair city. On that night, the first Monday in June, 25 percent of the restaurant's dinner profits will benefit the Primate Enrichment Fund, which provides the San Francisco Zoo's contingent of squirrel monkeys with much-needed toys and puzzles. Diners need only mention "zoo," "squirrel monkeys," or "art show" when making reservations. Why "art show," exactly? The evening will double as a reception for local artist Jenn Wehrt ― with drink specials and a silent auction of a squirrel monkey portrait ― with proceeds, naturally, going towards our local zoo's clever little monkeys.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
