It'll be Campbell's third location ― the one in Cow Hollow opened last month, a spinoff of the Outer Richmond original. Company manager Orlaigh Campbell confirmed the news. If all goes as planned, she said, expect a June opening. The kitchen setup in Potrero should allow for new offerings, though Campbell declined to say what they'd be.Meanwhile, Bento 415 partner Patience Elfving said she, partner Chris Beerman, and Cheryl Burr of Pinkie's were zeroing in on locations South of Market. That's right, they're looking together, for a space larger than the approximately 1,800 square feet they currently share with 4505's Ryan Farr. "We're all kind of excited," Elfving said. "We did need new space to give us all a chance to grow. None of us are discouraged." Nevertheless, Elfving said, it did hurt to learn that the business succeeding them is a bakery. "It just felt like a knife in the heart. We worked so hard to build up the business here." Besides the shared retail counter, both businesses have a growing roster of wholesale clients ― just today, Pinkie's started delivering pastries to the de Young.
Ryan Farr of 4505 Meats said he, too, was closing in on mixed production and retail space in SOMA.
Last day of business for Pinkie's and Bento415 is April 23. They have to leave the space by April 30. If they can't sign a lease before then, Elfving said, they have a commercial kitchen contingency to prevent disruptions in deliveries to wholesale clients.
