To some, Fort Mason standby Greens is dullsville with a nice view; to others, it's a delectable institution worth preserving, a relic that stirs up waves of nostalgia in those who have grazed on its quintessential cruelty-free California fare for the past 30 years. On Valentine's Day, the vegetarian restaurant will feature a special $88 four-course menu in the newly refurbished dining room, with offerings that include coconut risotto cakes with green curry and wild mushroom ravioli.

The destination for a romantic, celebratory, relationship-affirming repast says a lot about the relationship, potentially. Do you try an exciting yet untraveled new spot you've been longing to visit, confident that no disappointments ― perhaps an overcooked hunk of black cod, or a creepy server ― could darken the evening? Or do you play it safe and stick with a tried-and-true restaurant you prize for consistency? We'd love to hear your thoughts. Details after the jump.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
