After moving back to the Bay Area from Los Angeles, Nina Wanat relaunched her confections company BonBonBar
in October. Wanat is a graduate of CIA's baking and pastry program in Napa, a course she switched to after attending law school at UC Davis and being tempted into the culinary world via her adventures at the Davis Farmers Market. She also blogs about desserts on her own Sweet Napa
Her handmade Pumpkin Pie Bar features a rich graham cracker "crust," spiced pumpkin caramel (made with pumpkin and butternut squash), and a jacket of dark chocolate. It has made us totally rethink the pumpkin and chocolate combination.
