On Saturday, a chocolaty holiday marketplace will take over the San Francisco Chocolate Factory (286 12th St. at Folsom). From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Dec. 5, the SFCF will offer chocolates from Bridge Brands along with special treats from local merchants. Expect deal pricing on collections for lovers of milk chocolate, books, coffee and/or tea, sports, and wine -- in short, a lot of lovers. If organic dark chocolate or obsidian dark is more your thing, they'll have those, too. Lest you think the marketplace will be solely an exercise in gluttony and consumerism, ponder this: 10 percent of the proceeds will be passed on to The Glide Foundation, for community outreach.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
