Got extra time for lunch? If yes, head to Lower Haight for Tuesday burger day at Rosamunde's, if only for tradition. That's right: You've had a better cheeseburger. (You've had worse, too -- like the one with the minky-tasting patty that restaurant owner in Belize assured you was beef.)

But this is a city in lust with tradition, the quirkier the better. So you'll stand in line, wait almost as long for your patty to come off the grill, and devour it with German potato salad. Only, make sure you also order a beer sausage (with sauerkraut) as a chaser. It's not only a more perfectly satisfying option than the cheeseburger, but feeling ridiculously full is a tradition every bit as lovable as burger queues.
