Let's do lunch:

Animal fats and starches: They're not just for breakfast anymore. SF Weekly critic Meredith Brody suggests lubricating your brogue with the Irish breakfast (eggs, Irish bacon, pork sausage, pork pudding, fried potatoes, baked beans, and Irish soda bread) at the Village Grill (160 West Portal at Vicente, 681-5299).

Drink therapy:

Think of the name as ironic. Seriously -- they're really, really nice to you at Grumpy's American Pub (125 Vallejo at Front, 434-3350), 'specially when you're hammered silly on the $7 beer-and-a-shot happy-hour special, available 4-7 p.m.

It's lovably fusty, and you can play shuffleboard. Grab your best vintage fedora and drink in the Mission's hipster scene at Doc's Clock (2575 Mission at 21st St., 824-3627). While you're at it, save a few bucks during happy hour, 6-9 p.m.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
