"Dine Out Against Hunger" takes place this Thursday, December 18. If you eat at Maverick, Slow Club, Serpentine, Foreign Cinema, Magnolia, Sociale,

Slanted Door, Kuleto's, Delfina, Americano, A16, Incanto or SPQR, these participating restaurants will donate a portion of the total evening's receipts to the San Francisco Food Bank (900 Pennsylvania Ave). (Maverick will also take 10% off your bill if you make a separate SFFB donation there.) Every dollar raised is equivalent to nine dollars worth of food for those who need it, so this is a great opportunity to share your meal with others. -- Tamara Palmer

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
