Attention area divas: Tomorrow, Friday, May 30, all your Carrie Bradshaw-esque fantasies can be more than just vicariously fulfilled at Swap In The City, an entire night devoted to cocktails, food, clothes, and last but not least, SATC. It starts at 6:00 p.m. with a cocktail party at the the InterContinental Hotel (888 Howard St), complete with appetizers, complimentary spa treatments, and paparazzi to mug for (really?). At 7:30 is the SATC-themed fashion show, followed at 8:30 by the surprisingly co-ed 150th Milestone Clothing Swap Extravaganza (men's and women's swaps will be in separate areas), and then at 10:30 the icing on the cake: a screening of the Sex And The City movie at nearby Century 9 Theaters. Cosmo-licious, to be sure.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
