Social networking for the foodie set, Eats.com is the latest foray into the ultra-specialized world of web hobbyists. In addition to extensive (40,000 nationwide and growing) restaurant database, searchable by name, cuisine, dish, or neighborhood, you can set up restaurant wish lists and check out photos of your latest culinary crushes. Not mention the social networking component, which -- frankly -- boosts this site to a whole new level of scary food obsession. Just think: by leveraging your friends list, you might finally have the chance to share a few hoity-toity appetizers with, and argue face to face, over the best Vietnamese sandwich in town. If that ain't social networking, I don't know what is.
